twenty ninety seven

"To adore God is to acknowledge, in respect and absolute submission, the 'nothingness of the creature' who would not exist but for God. To adore God is to praise and exalt him and to humble oneself, as Mary did in the Magnificat, confessing with gratitude that he has done great things and holy is his name. The worship of the one God sets man free from turning in on himself, from the slavery of sin and the idolatry of the world."
-Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 2097.

Nearly 200 of you came on the 13th of September to the humble university on Camelback road. Some of you even came from California. We united around this declaration of His holiness and His greatness. We're planning now for October 11th- Paul George will return along with Matt Maher and his companions. You should come again. And bring some companions.

One week from today

2097 kicks off one week from tonight, next Wednesday September 13th. What is 2097? Good question. It is the name of an event that combines praise and worship, teaching/preaching, and adoration. If you are a college aged young adult and you live in the greater Phoenix area you should come. This series is for you. It is also for your friends. They should come too.

So, here's the deal. Once a month (on the second Wed. of the month) from now until December, Paul George is flying in from Louisiana to bring us the word and Matt Maher and band are carpooling from across town to lead us in worship.

Please check out our website for more info on dates, places, and times.

See you next Wednesday.

Praying for you,

Ryan
