Responding

In a few days a handful (four to be exact) of Youth Arise alums will be making their way to a beach in Italy. Summer fling? Sort of. Much needed vacation? Maybe. Every year around this time, Military Community Youth Ministries, an ecumenical Christian outreach to teens on American military bases, sponsors "Beach Break." Yeah, they swim, get suntans, eat gilato, but the hundreds of teens gathered for this annual event also hear each day about the love of God in Jesus Christ.

Four Youth Arise alums (three of which are currently on short-term mission with MCYM), will be a part of the team that serves these military teens. Life as a military brat is challenging, and in this time of great uncertainty on the American Military front, this break is probably all the more needed. Both for the teens who are going, but also for the Outreach workers who serve them. Please keep all involved in your prayers. I know our Youth Arise alums, Josh Rodenbaugh '04 (pictured above), Madelene Bergez '05, Lulu Pulido '05, and AJ Kueneman '05, will appreciate it.

Praying for you,

Ryan

Worthy

A sea of people. God's people. We raise our hands to God because He is worth it. Worship leads us out of ourselves to the one who leads Himself into us, by the Spirit.

This picture was taken during the 06 Arise Conference. From the stage this is what I saw - a sea of God's people with one voice, one heart, reaching out to God, telling God that He is glorious, beautiful, holy.

Are you in this picture? If so, drop us a comment. Did you come to the Conference? If so, we want to hear about your experience.

Praying for you,

Ryan
